Hey, I’m Brandy!

I am a free-spirited soul, driven by an unwavering passion to empower women as they fearlessly reclaim the sacred journey of motherhood rooted in the divine design of God.

Hello sister! Unbeknownst to you, I've been praying for someone like you. I often ask God to guide the right women to my little corner of the internet. So, it brings me immense joy to welcome you here, and
I hope you'll stick around!

I'm a wife to a hardworking, blue-collar, truck-driving husband and a homeschooling mama to our six wild children.

In 2010, I welcomed my first baby into the world, underwent a transformative experience, and began diving into the space of natural birth, seeking a better path.

{More details on that to come}...

Wild & Free Birth Wellness was born with someone like you in mind, dear sister. I was once that woman who longed for a 'big sister' to guide me, share wisdom, and offer experience to guide me to a better way. Unfortunately, I had to navigate the medical system and societal fears surrounding birth on my own.

I'm thrilled you've joined me, and I look forward to embarking on this journey together!

I didn’t trust my body…

In 2010, I eagerly awaited the arrival of my first baby. Like so many families, my husband and I naturally chose hospital birth with an OB-GYN. We did everything we were told would prepare us—reading pregnancy books, joining groups, scouring websites, and attending hospital childbirth classes. I felt informed. I felt ready. I believed I was doing everything “right.”

Then, at 37 weeks, everything began to shift. Suddenly there were more ultrasounds, NSTs, and conversations laced with concern. The quiet confidence I once felt was replaced by subtle pressure—toward monitoring, toward intervention, toward induction. By 39+1 weeks, I was in a hospital bed, consenting to an induction that quickly unraveled into a cascade of interventions, ultimately ending in a cesarean birth.

Six months later, as I struggled under the weight of postpartum depression, questions I couldn’t silence began to rise. Was birth really meant to feel this way? Was this the best my body could do? Deep in my spirit, a knowing took root—there had to be another way. A more whole, more peaceful, more empowering way. And I was determined to find it.

Determination & Education…

…became the heartbeat of my life between pregnancies. I was determined to understand my rights as a childbearing woman, to explore the full spectrum of birth options, and to reclaim trust in what my body was designed to do. I studied relentlessly, prayed deeply, and began learning how to advocate for myself in a system that often thrived on fear rather than faith.

After the heartbreak of a miscarriage in July 2012, our rainbow baby was conceived in December 2013. This pregnancy was different from the very beginning. I carried her with intention—anchored in research, covered in prayer, and unwavering in my desire for a VBAC. I knew in my bones that my body was capable of more than I had been led to believe.

With clearer eyes and stronger conviction, I made difficult but necessary choices. I stepped away from an OB-GYN who relied on pressure and fear to steer me toward a repeat cesarean, and I learned to advocate for myself at every turn. It was exhausting. It required constant vigilance.
But I refused to surrender my autonomy.

After 37 hours of labor, our rainbow baby girl was born through an empowered, unmedicated hospital VBAC. Her birth was deeply affirming—and yet, it also revealed the cracks that still existed. Even in empowerment, something felt incomplete. That realization pulled me deeper still, awakening a longing for a birth experience—and a way of supporting women—that was even more whole, peaceful, and undisturbed.

Autonomous Home Birth

Just six days before celebrating our daughter’s first birthday, we discovered we were expecting our third baby. While the idea of home birth had quietly lived in my heart, my husband—still carrying understandable fear—initially leaned toward another hospital VBAC.

But this time was different. The thought of home birth wouldn’t leave me. It came up almost daily in our conversations, not from rebellion, but from trust—trust in my body, trust in my baby, and trust in the birth process after experiencing firsthand what my body was capable of.

At my 28-week appointment, when I expressed that I did not consent to routine cervical checks, my OB-GYN responded by suggesting that I likely wouldn’t go into labor without “manual manipulation” of my cervix. In that moment, the contrast became undeniable.

After prayerful conversation and deep reflection, my husband agreed—it was time to choose a different path. We sought midwifery care, and week by week, something shifted. There was no pressure. No fear. No convincing. Just support, trust, and reverence for the process.

Our Team Green baby boy was born gently into the world at 5:11 a.m., surrounded by warm water, soft light, and the steady presence of a birth team who fully honored our desires. He took his first breath in the quiet safety of our living room.

For the first time, birth unfolded without resistance… without defense… without relentless advocacy.

Finally—birth as it was meant to be.

Spirit-Filled, Unhindered Birth

In 2015, my life was forever altered when I became a young widow, suddenly raising three children after the unexpected passing of my first husband. The years that followed were marked by both profound grief and quiet redemption—meeting my now-husband in 2016, fostering my nephew in 2017, finalizing his adoption in 2019, marrying in 2020, and, in 2021, prayerfully opening our hearts to welcome another baby.

That pregnancy became a holy restoration after a long season of sorrow. It reignited my love for birth—not as an event to manage, but as a sacred act to be protected. I immersed myself in midwife memoirs, physiological birth research, autonomous birth teachings, and countless stories that affirmed what I already knew deep within: birth thrives when we trust who created it and when left unhindered.

This path was not without resistance. Opposition arose repeatedly, attempting to sow doubt and fear around birthing at home. But with every concern and every moment of uncertainty, my faith was refined. Each choice became an act of surrender, laid before the Lord in trust and obedience.

At 39+1 weeks, our baby chose his moment. Over the course of 24 gentle, steady hours, labor unfolded in peace—held by water, prayer, and the quiet safety of my bedroom. Our Team Green baby boy emerged into my waiting arms in a spirit-filled, autonomous, undisturbed home birth, witnessed by his father and all four of his adoring siblings.

It was more than a birth. It was worship.

With God as my Midwife

With my sixth baby, my journey into birth reached its deepest place of surrender. After years of learning, advocating, and fiercely protecting birth space, I felt the Lord calling me into something quieter—something more intimate. This birth would not be led by protocols or providers, but by complete trust in Him.

God was calling me deeper. Into the quiet. Into the secret place. Into a posture where every decision was first laid on the altar and consecrated unto Him. There was no room for striving here—only listening, obedience, and rest.

Labor unfolded gently in the presence of God. There was no managing, no defending, no doing—only being. Surrounded by prayer and worship, our Team Green baby girl was born into stillness, into peace, into holy reverence. Her birth was not marked by effort, but by surrender—a sacred moment that sealed what I had long known: birth is safest when it is fully yielded.

This birth did not simply welcome a baby into our family—it clarified my calling. It shaped the way I now walk with women: guarding sacred space, honoring autonomy, and trusting the divine wisdom God placed within the birthing body.

A Walk Through Birthwork

After welcoming my daughter in 2013, the quiet stirring of a call toward birthwork began to take shape. That calling deepened after the peaceful home birth of my third child in 2015, planting a clear vision of walking alongside other women as a doula.

With the steadfast support of my village, I pursued formal training and became a certified doula in the spring of 2016 through ICEA, completing my certification after attending numerous births. Alongside this, I also held certification as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST), reflecting my commitment to supporting families holistically and practically.

In the years that followed, I immersed myself in birthwork—attending births, continuing my education, and offering guidance to women seeking support from near and far, including clients around the world. In the fall of 2018, I felt the Lord clearly ask me to pause. I stepped back from active birthwork to pour fully into my blended family as we walked the sacred road toward adopting our foster baby.

Though I stepped away from full-time work, the call to birth never left. The flame remained—quiet but persistent. I continued offering support when needed and occasionally served as a traveling doula, responding to the invitations God placed before me.

As we prepared to welcome our fifth child, that flame was rekindled with fresh clarity. My passion for birth was being refined—drawn toward a deeper, more intuitive expression of birthwork than I had yet fully understood.

The Birth of a Birthkeeper

In the early days of postpartum, I found myself drawn into a community of faith-filled doulas, birthkeepers, and midwives. Though I wasn’t yet certain what shape birthwork would take in my life again, I knew without hesitation that God was calling me back into sacred space—to be with women. And obedience to that call mattered more than clarity.

In the summer of 2022, that calling took on flesh. I was invited to serve as a doula for a dear friend—a moment so clearly God-ordained it felt like a gentle commissioning. From there, the invitations multiplied. I was asked to walk alongside women in many roles: doula, midwife assistant, and virtual support throughout pregnancy and birth. With each yes, it became increasingly clear that this was not something I was rebuilding—it was something God was restoring.

That transformative season marked the rebirth of Follow Your Arrow Doula into Wild & Free Birth Wellness. Through refresher trainings in doula support, breastfeeding, postpartum care, fertility awareness, and pregnancy and infant loss, my vision sharpened. I no longer questioned the path—I recognized the pattern God was weaving.

Today, my commitment is to continual growth in the sacred work of being with woman. Whether studying midwifery memoirs, deepening my understanding of physiological birth, pursuing further training, or walking alongside women in person and virtually, I remain devoted to protecting birth space, honoring autonomy, and faithfully stewarding the calling placed on my life.

  • Refining the Sacred Vision for Birth

We reclaim what is sacred, sovereign, and holy. We step into our God-given power, refusing to hand it over blindly to systems or ideologies rooted in fear. Through education and community, we are equipped with discernment, wisdom, and strength, embracing the freedom and wildness woven into our design—not captivity or conformity.

Birth, sacred and belonging to God, is a divine mystery, not owned by systems or institutions. We honor it as a holy gift, trusting in God's perfect design while rejecting idols of materialism and worldly validation. Our choices reflect faith, purpose, and alignment with His truth.

Our families live sovereign lives, untethered by societal norms. Guided by faith, we return to the home as the foundation of life: homebirth, homesteads, and homeschooling shape our journey. We cultivate freedom for our children, anchored in Godly priorities and a deep connection to creation. We reduce waste, find purpose in all things, and embrace the abundant wisdom embedded in nature.

As women of faith, we sit in the mystery, trusting God above all else. We are not gatekeepers but sharers of wisdom, ensuring others are empowered with truth. Birth is a sacred, sovereign rite—a reflection of God’s image and intention.

Our vision is one of radical responsibility, grounded in reverence for God's design. In all things, we seek the Lord first, resting in His wisdom, grace, and provision. His abundance defines our lives—not worldly riches but a fullness of faith, simplicity, and sacred purpose. Our fears are laid at His feet, and we surrender fully to His guidance.

God is the ultimate midwife, teacher, doctor, and counselor. We draw near to His still waters, silencing distractions to hear His voice. He is our Shepherd, and we walk in trust, surrender, and holy purpose.

The Bible becomes central to our homes again, a foundation of wisdom and truth. Every birth, every family, and every decision is rooted in the sacred acknowledgment that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator of all life.

This is the vision for a birth practice that honors the sacred, sovereign, and holy. It is a call to reclaim the divine design for life and family, grounded in God’s truth, led by His guidance, and lived out in abundance, freedom, and faith.

  • My mission is to guide women back to the sacred, sovereign, and holy essence of birth and life, empowering them to reclaim their God-given authority. By fostering education and community, I empower women to cultivate discernment, wisdom, and strength, so they can live freely in alignment with God’s truth.

Birth, as a sacred act designed by God, is a divine mystery to be honored, not controlled. It is my mission to remind women of their power, rooted in trust for God's perfect design and unshakable faith.

I empower women to create lives of radical responsibility, breaking away from societal norms and embracing the beauty of slow, intentional living. My work encourages reliance on God above worldly systems, guiding families to consecrate their decisions to Him while living vibrantly in faith, simplicity, and abundance.

By embracing the home as a sanctuary, women find freedom in homebirth, homeschooling, and holistic living, returning to the timeless wisdom of foremothers. Through Christ-centered guidance, I empower women to step boldly into the wilderness of faith, trusting in God's provision for health, family, and community.

This mission is rooted in honoring God’s sacred design and empowering women to live and birth wild, free, and sovereign. Every birth, family, and decision reflects the sacred truth that life is a gift from the Creator, to be lived in faith, strength, and divine purpose.

  • I believe we are sovereign beings, created by God with the freedom to make decisions aligned with His truth.

I believe women carry innate wisdom, born from generations of experience and intuition.

I believe we are called to live with a village mindset, nurturing interdependence and generosity.

I believe every decision we make should be consecrated unto the Lord, aligning our lives with His purpose.

I believe the wisdom of our ancestors should return, honoring their practices of faith, simplicity, and stewardship.

I believe clean, intentional living is the pathway to vibrant health.

I believe our lives should be deeply rooted in Christ, the cornerstone of truth and abundance.

I believe we are to live as though God is our only authority, placing His guidance above all else.

I believe we are called to embrace the mystery, trusting in what cannot always be explained but is always felt.

I believe that by trusting God, we can trust birth because He is the designer of life.

I believe we are to live in alignment with His truth, breaking free from societal norms that distract us from His will.

I believe it’s time to reclaim our power, stepping boldly into the design God has for us.

I believe birth is sacred and should be left undisturbed, free from unnecessary interference.

I believe our bodies are wise, capable of healing themselves, and divinely designed for birth.
